What is a free headshot generator?
A free headshot generator is a web tool that takes a selfie and returns a headshot made by an AI image model, at no charge. Most free versions limit something: the size, the number of photos, a watermark, or an account you have to create. Ours gives one 512 × 768 headshot with a visible watermark, one per person, in exchange for an email address.
Good for a test
A free headshot shows whether a tool keeps your face recognizable before you pay anything. Look at the eyes, nose, jawline and hairline, and ask whether a colleague would know it is you. Ours is one photo from one selfie, so a paid pack made from 6 to 10 selfies, across several outfits and backgrounds, gives you far more to choose from.
Free vs paid vs a photographer
A free AI professional headshot costs nothing but comes small and watermarked. A paid AI pack costs a fixed price, arrives in about 15 to 45 minutes and gives dozens of options, but every photo is AI-generated. A photographer takes real photos and can direct your pose and light, but you book a session, travel and usually wait for edits. Choose by how you will use it.
Limited for real use
Ours is 512 × 768 pixels with a visible watermark. That works for judging the result on your screen, but not for a LinkedIn profile, a company team page, a conference badge or anything printed. LinkedIn accepts photos from 400 × 400 pixels, so the size alone would pass there, but the watermark sits on the photo and a cropped square would still show it.
Read the privacy terms
Free tools differ in how long they keep uploaded faces and what they use them for, so check before you upload. Look for a deletion date, whether photos train a model, and whether you can delete them yourself. Our deletion dates are in the FAQ below, and you can delete both your selfie and your headshot sooner from your account.
What the paid packs add
40 to 100 headshots at full size without a watermark, in the outfits and backgrounds you choose. Basic is $35, Standard $45 and Executive $75, each a single payment. For a profile photo, LinkedIn headshots use the same packs with business attire and three backgrounds picked for LinkedIn. Your free headshot sits in the same account as any order you place later.

Yes. You get one headshot at no cost and we never ask for a card. You do enter an email address, which keeps it to one free headshot per person.
Why is there a watermark?
The free headshot is a sample for judging likeness. Full-size headshots without a watermark come with the paid packs, from $35 for 40.
Can I make more than one free headshot?
No. It's one per email address and one per device. For more, choose a paid headshot pack with 40 to 100 photos.
Can I use the free headshot on LinkedIn?
You can, but the watermark and small size make it a weak profile photo. It's meant to show whether the AI gets your face right.
Why can't I get one today?
We make a limited number of free headshots each day. If today's are gone, the tool opens again tomorrow.
Do I need to sign up?
There's no account to create or password to set. You enter an email address with your selfie, and your headshot opens from your order page.
What happens to my selfie?
Your free headshot's selfie is deleted 7 days after delivery, and the headshot itself 30 days after delivery. You can remove both earlier from your account. See our privacy policy.
