Why nurses choose AI nursing headshots

  • Fits around shifts

No appointment to book. Upload selfies whenever you have a few minutes.
  • Scrubs without wearing them

Choose the outfit in the order. Selfies in your own clothes work fine.
  • Ready for job applications

A clear, recent headshot for LinkedIn, Indeed, travel nursing agencies and conference bios.
  • Use it for your NP practice

You own the headshots and can use them on a practice website, in local ads or on printed cards.

Choosing your nurse profile picture

  1. Scrubs or white coat

Scrubs are the natural choice for bedside nurses and travel nurse profiles. Nurse practitioners who see their own patients often wear a white coat on a practice website, much like the physicians in our doctor headshots. The scrub jacket sits in between: still clinical, a little more polished, which suits LinkedIn, nurse educators, managers and anyone presenting at a conference.

  2. Framing

Head and shoulders, looking at the camera, with a calm, warm smile. Our nursing headshots stay chest-up, which crops well for LinkedIn's circle, small directory squares and the round photo on a staff profile. Keep earrings and necklaces simple and your hair the way you wear it on shift, so the photo still looks like you to the patients and colleagues who see it.

  3. Where to use nursing headshots

Use one headshot for LinkedIn, Indeed and other job sites, travel nursing agency profiles, your hospital's staff page if it has one, conference and speaker bios, and an NP practice website. A clear, current photo makes a profile look complete. Pick a studio or color backdrop for job sites, and save the clinic or hospital shots for pages where the setting adds something.

  4. Badge photos

Hospitals often take ID badge photos themselves, with their own camera, background and size. Ask your HR or security office before you hand in your own photo, because some accept an uploaded headshot and others don't. For agency and onboarding portals that ask for a profile photo, a plain studio headshot is the safest pick, since it fits the widest range of size and background rules.

  5. Scrub colors

The scrubs in your headshots come in classic colors such as navy, ceil blue, dark teal and charcoal, mixed across the set, and the scrub jacket version adds wine. If your unit or agency wears one color, keep the headshots in a matching shade for your work profiles. The other colors still work for LinkedIn and job sites, where nobody expects a particular uniform.

  6. Keep it current

Patients and hiring managers compare the photo with the person they meet. Pick headshots with your current hair and glasses, and skip any where the AI changed your face. When you change jobs or units, check that your photo still looks like you, and order a new set if it doesn't. Delete your selfies from your account once you've downloaded the headshots you want.

Questions about Nurse Headshots

Anything else? Email support@belagon.com.

Do I need to wear scrubs in my selfies?

No. Scrubs, a scrub jacket or a white coat is selected in the order, and that's what the headshots show. Wear your own clothes in the selfies and make sure your face is clearly visible.

Will the headshots look like me?

Each headshot is checked against your selfies, and the ones that don't match are taken out. Keep the photos a patient or a charge nurse would recognize as you.

How much do nurse headshots cost?

Nursing headshots cost $35 for a set of 40, $45 for 60 or $75 for 100 at higher resolution. It's a one-time payment.

How long does it take?

Once your selfies pass the photo checks, a Standard set takes about 30 minutes, Executive about 15 and Basic about 45. That fits inside a break between shifts.

Can I get headshots for our whole unit?

Each nurse orders a set from their own selfies. Choose the same outfit and background for everyone and the photos will match on a staff page or a recruiting flyer.

What happens to my photos?

Your selfies are deleted 7 days after delivery and your headshots 30 days after delivery. Download the ones for your job applications first, or delete everything sooner from your account. See our privacy policy.

What if I don't like them?

Contact us within 14 days of delivery, before you download any headshot, and we'll redo the set or refund it in full, whichever you prefer. See the refund policy.
